Krishna Devkota

Krishna Devkota was born in 1976. His is the son of Narapati Devkota and Pabitra Devkota. He is married to Indra Kumari Devkota. Devkota is in the Nepali Musical Industry for quiet a long time. Talking about his other involvements he is the chairperson of Machhapuchhre Digital Pvt Ltd, Kathmandu and is the life member of National Folk and Duet Song Academy, Rastriya Paropakar Federation Nepal and Hari Devi Koirala Sahitya Samman Kosh. He has also worked as a secretary for National Folk and Duet Song Academy. He is the member of Lyricist Association of Nepal, Performers Society of Nepal. He has also worked as a Program coordinator and presenter for Gandaki Television in Pokhara. He is an advisor for Himalayan Boarding school, Pokhara including Association of National Musician.

He has won numerous awards for his outstanding contribution for folk songs. Taking about his major achievements, he was awarded with Hits FM Music Award 2009 for Nautunako Rail for Folk record of the year, Best singer award for Dhaka Topi Dhalkyo Nabhana at second music khabar music award 2013, also Best folk singer of the year for Album Resham Rumal at third music Khabar music award 2014. He has achieved first position for National Folk and Duet Song organized by Nepal Folk Culture Presentation Center in 2002. He has also won Best lyrics for National Folk and Duet Song Award 2016 for Resham Rumalma.

He has also worked as a judge for various competitions. He has judged Gandaki Idol and National Folk Duet Singing Competition in 2010 organized on Lekhnath festival, Typical Nepali Culture and National Folk and Duet Song competition 2012 organized by Shantighat Development committee, Gandaki Machhapuchre Western Union Lok Dohori Tara 2010, Free Student union, Folk Duet Song Competition 2008, he has also worked as a judgment coordinator for six walling festival 2016 among others.

In more than his two decades long musical career, he has recorded many albums. To name a few, they are Batulima Jharaula Audio (2001), Ramdi Jharena (2002), Sansar Bichitra (2003), Mohani layo (2004), Dhaka Topi dhalkiyo Navana (2008), Nautuna ko Rail (2009), Destination Pokhara (2011), Hamro Pokhara Ramro Pokhara (2011), Resham Rumal ma (2016), Arya Bhanjayang Katera (2017)

He has also penned and composed a song. Some of his works includes Mayale Maryo (2003), Muglin Jharau (2003), Mata Hide Pokhara (2006), Mobile kindeu bakhro bechera, Machhapuchre VCD (Vol 1,2,3,4,5,6,7)

He has travelled to Korea, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Qatar and India among other countries for his musical programs.
